Apple’s retail stores got a new look on Sunday.
According to Australian blog Mac Prices, iPad 2 units have replaced traditional paper placards next to products on display.
Customers can use the new interactive display units to learn more about the products they’re interested in, compare prices, page an Apple employee and more.
Sources previously told 9 to 5 Mac that Apple would roll out just such an upgrade to its stores as part of the company’s 10-year retail anniversary.
“According to sources, the revamped app will debut on Sunday with full support for customizing build-to-order Macs, offering the complete range of options currently available through Apple’s website,” says Mac Rumors.
Mac Prices also reports that Apple store employees in Australia are wearing party hats to commemorate the day.
